FLS LLC brings a project management approach to meeting our clients’ goals. We then create a work plan to track completion of milestones and deliverables to ensure measurable results within the client’s identified timeframe. During the course of our engagements, we provide updated workplans at agreed upon intervals and use the workplans.

STRATEGIC PLANNING & BALANCED SCORECARD DEVELOPMENT


As in all business sectors, Strategic Planning provides human service-focused organizations with the necessary framework to establish a strategic direction, align business activities with mission, vision and values, and efficiently focus critical resources towards achieving stated goals and objectives. FLS LLC routinely coordinates the Strategic Planning process for our non-profit, for-profit, and government clients by helping each to set strategic goals and identify strategies to achieve them. Utilizing a Balanced Scorecard approach, FLS LLC works with clients to create a comprehensive project management and performance measurement framework that transforms strategic visions into specific, actionable steps and utilizes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure organizational success.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT


Providers of human services continue to seek ways to more objectively assess program quality, efficiently allocate resources and achieve compliance with regulatory requirements. Our consultants maintain extensive regulatory and program management experience within the human services space and routinely help clients identify strategies to improve data collection and utilize results to inform program management approaches. These strategies have included the creation of program-and site-specific risk assessment calculators and quality and incident management tools that allow for trend analysis and the real-time sharing of results among staff. As a result, our clients are able report results quickly and accurately and proactively implement quality improvement processes designed to limit and address adverse licensing events, reduce incidents and improve consumer outcomes.

FISCAL & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT


Program reforms and stressors such as the growth of managed care delivery systems in home and community-based services programs, the increased use of value-based payment models, the near elimination of cost-based rates in favor of established fee schedules and the increased need for critical investments in technology and infrastructure have emphasized the need for providers to identify new and better ways to manage resources. FLS LLC is able to leverage its extensive human services financial management experience and work closely with providers of all types to develop tools and processes that allow for better informed financial-related decisions in areas such as program expansion, acquisitions, wage adjustments and other critical investments. Tools developed by FLS LLC permit the trending of revenues and associated expenses for individual service components, programs and sites and help to effectively manage client funds and track supplemental benefits.

FLS LLC also helps clients create and execute program marketing plans to achieve desired service utilization.

With decades spent working on multiple sides of complex regulatory environments, FLS LLC understands the need for providers and government contractors to effectively communicate with payers and regulators to resolve issues that are critical to the success of the organization. FLS LLC routinely advises clients on all strategic communications and possesses a demonstrated track record of achieving positive results. In addition to advising clients and developing communications strategies, FLS LLC drafts correspondences, facilitates conversations with key stakeholders and communicates program compliance activities and organizational changes as part of required plans of correction or in response to other regulatory actions.


FLS LLC also maintains collaborative relationships with attorneys, government relations personnel and other subject matter experts and is able to make referrals for outside expertise based on the specific situation and needs of the client.
